This photo from the USC Digital Library and the International Mission Photography Archive shows a coffee tree in bloom in Tanzania, circa 1927-1939. The cherries visible on the lower branches contain the familiar coffee beans that are later dried, roasted, ground, and brewed to make one of the world’s most popular caffeinated beverages.
